AnitaRichs; olawale10 think you are a bit confused... eating is a different thing, digestion and absorption are other things. eating is voluntary but digestion, which involves peristalsis is involutary... have you ever wondered why you vomit food sometimes?? it is an involuntary action too. so, peristalsis in involuntary coz you can control it... you don't even know d time it is happening
