Answers to some Uniport Questions
All is now set for the convocation ceremony of the University of Port-harcourt (UNIPORT) on 28th April, 2012.
Before the d-day, the school has slated her convocation lecture on 26th April. The Convocation Lecture is titled, “Universities and the Private Sector: Promoting Research and Entrepreneurial Network for Economic Transformation”. This lecture will be taken by Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Ita Okon Ewa.
Venue: Ebitimi Banigo Auditorium, University Park
A Music Command Performance by the University Concert Chorus will hold on the same 26th April at The Crab, Delta Park by 7.00pm. The events for the day will be preceded by a Research Fair featuring Arts/Science/Agricultural and Engineering Exhibitions at the lobby of Donald Ekong Library, University Park.
Homecoming and other Alumni activities will take place on Friday, 27th April. The event will feature an Alumni Lecture and Launching of the Alumni centre. At 7.00pm the same day, there will be Chancellors’ Dinner and Distinguished Service Awards at the Atlantic Hall of Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
The highpoint of the Ceremony is the Award of Certificates, First Degrees and Prizes, as well as conferment of Honorary and Higher Degrees on Saturday, 28th April, 2012, at the Convocation Arena as from 9.00am.
