Following the postponement of the general elections in Nigeria, WAEC has announced the postponement of papers to be taken on 26th of April, which is the date fixed for the governorship election to a date yet unknown.
The papers, Agricultural Science (Practical) and Metal Work (Practical), which were earlier scheduled to hold on the 26th of April were moved on agreement at meeting with the Nigeria Examinations Committee, the registrar of WAEC, Alhaja (Mrs) Mulicat Bello told myschoolcomm.
Because WAEC is a West African Body, with other west african countries fully participating in the examination, care has to be ensured in such rescheduling to avoid extreme difficulty on the candidates. The registrar said a new date will be later announced for these papers.
Candidates in Ghana are expected to write a paper (General Agricu-lture) on the same date. It is important to know that this shift will not in any way affect these ghanian candidates.
All WAEC candidates are to note that the examination continues as on the timetable the next day, 27th April, with Mathematics.
