Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, the Registrar of JAMB, said on Monday that the board would soon begin to watch universities to confirm that they complied with 2011/2012 admission laws.
Ojerinde created the statement when the Senate Committee on Education visited the workplace of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Bwari on Monday as a part of its oversight functions.
He said the 60:40 per cent ratio admission for science and humanities courses should be adhered to by the schools.
Ojerinde said though most universities attributed the delay in admissions to fuel subsidy removal, "the board would still monitor the admission processes."
He said the board would begin monitoring from state universities to confirm strict compliance with ratio and quota laws.
The registrar added that every one candidates would soon get the chance to be admitted to any Nigerian university, though not their 1st or second decisions.
He said this was to stop them from staying while not admission as their courses of alternative may well be studied in different universities.
Ojerinde announced that there have been no a lot of special centres because the board had abolished all special centres since 2008.
He added that centres for examination increased from two,872 to 3,052 in 2012 with improved security.
He said one per cent of the overhead price of the board would be dedicated to shopping for of books, stressing that the take a look at Development Unit of the board was purely tutorial.
Sen. Uche Chukwumerije, the Chairman of the committee, urged the board to stick to the timetable for admissions.
