Barely 12 hours after the results of the 2012 UTME were released, jamb has now completely shutdown its official website (www.jamb.org.ng) owing to the inability to serve the millions of requests to candidates nationwide.
The website initially experienced a dragging performance as the news of the result released gradually filtered into the internet airspace and going viral.
The total shutdown came just hours after the official announcement by the Jamb Registrar, Prof Dibu Ojerinde, to newsmen in Abuja.
As at the time of writing, the website still remained down as we believe the Jamb I.T. team are trying to get the portal back online.
Rumours coming in from our sources say that another portal with a different website is likely to be launched for the result checking only.
We're closely monitoring all the assumed portals and we can assure you that once the portals are back online, you'll be the first to know.
