What is your major challenge?
My major challenge is the constant strive to balance spiritual, academic and social activities. You know each time I appear on stage, the expectations of my fans are always on the high side and I have to consider my academics as well.
You spearheaded the "Let’s celebrate PTI Concert" and the "Michael Jackson memorial performance". How did you achieve all this in one semester?
God has been really faithful. The "Let’s celebrate PTI Concert" was the biggest show ever witnessed in the institute. I had the best on campus as committee members in that concert. I couldn’t have done it all by myself. As for the Michael Jackson night, my thanks go to other artistes who made the show a success either by attendance or participation. Preparations are on to make these two shows annual events on campus.
Can you tell us your source of energy each time you are on stage? because even when you are not at your best people still scream.
Once more, I will say God has been gracious to me. If my total performance in this institute is 90 percent, 80 percent was not rehearsed. My dance or comedy is in-built.
You are the social director of your departmental association, the Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineering (NIMechE) students. What event do you think has distinguished you from other directors of social on campus?
Before now, I have been involved in a lot of social activities but with respect to my department, NIMechE welcome party was the best for 2009/2010 session.
What advice would you give to fellow artistes and PTI students?
They shouldn’t see being an entertainer as a do-or-die affair. You cannot be entertaining people and be having carry-overs whereas those you are entertaining are having distinctions in their courses. We should always give our primary objective in school our best shot.
